TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

SYMPTOM

DVD Player

No power.

Power on, but unit not functioning

properly.

No picture and/or no sound.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

AC plug unplugged

Condensation has formed.

Wrong type of discs or the disc is corrupted.
The disc is dirty or inserted incorrectly.

The connection cables are not installed correctly

The audio setting incorrect.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION

Insert the AC plug to Wall Outlet

Unplug the unit and wait about one to

two hours until the player is dry.

Clean disc and insert with label side face up.
Re-install the connection cables.

Reset the "Audio Output" and "Pro Logic" 

settings in Audio setting menu as page 19

Try other discs.

Check the following before requesting service:

Playback picture rolling .

Picture quality no good.

The remote control is not working.

The video output of the player are incorrectly 

set.
The connected TV power is off.

Color system of the player has wrong 

settings.

The disc is dirty.
The batteries are weak or dead.

The batteries are not installed properly.

The remote is not aimed at the sensor.

There is an obstacle in the path of the

beam.

Distance is too far .

Press the VIDEO button repeatedly until

correct picture appears on the TV.
Turn the TV on.

Press the N/P button

 until 

correct picture appears on the TV.

Clean the disc.
Replace batteries.
Install batteries as the polarity markings

inside battery compartment.
Aim the remote at the sensor.

Operate within 20 feet

Move obstacle.

The unit does not start playback.

available on all discs.

The preset sound Language, subtitle not

 available in the current disc.

Subtitles not turned on.

Angles may not be recorded on the disc
(see disc jacket/case),or they may only
be recorded on certain section.

Insert DVD correctly.

Try other CD, DVD discs.

Place the disc on the disc tray correctly

Clean the disc.
The function is not available on the
