The ART-5450 supports two 24-bit single-channel LVDS interfaces
through two D-sub 26-pin connectors (LVDS1 and LVDS2) at the
rear I/O panel. Both connectors also carry the inverter control
signals, and can directly connect to two LVDS LCD displays via
external cables.
Backlight and Brightness Controls
Both LVDS1 and LVDS2 ports include built-in backlight and
brightness control signals. These control signals (BLON,
BRIGHTNESS_CTL, +12V, +5V, and GND) enable
developers/applications to connect these signals to an LCD
inverter to implement the LCD backlight on/off control and
brightness control.
The BLON signal is required for controlling the backlight. The
BRIGHTNESS_CTL signal can be connected to an LCD’s inverter to
enable an application to implement brightness adjustment
through a software utility. The +12V, +5V deliver the required
power to the inverter.
