PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
HAND GUARD INSTALLATION
Large, transparent hand guard protects against injuries and allows to see
the blade clearly.
•
lace the hand guard (

) on the hedge trimmer body and fix with
supplied screws (
fig. A
).
OPERATION / SETTINGS
The mains voltage must match the voltage on the hedge trimmer
rating plate.
SWITCHING ON – SWITCHING OFF
Hedge trimmer features safe switch that requires both hands to activate.
Switching on
– press the switch lock button (

) and hold, then press
the switch button (
7
).
Switching off
– release pressure on the switch button (
7
) or switch lock
button (
4
).
The hedge trimmer starts operation only when two buttons are
pressed at the same time, the switch lock button (4) with one hand
and the switch (7) located on the main handle (6) with the second
hand. When one of the buttons is released the hedge trimmer stops.
Safety brake of the blade will stop the blade in less than 1 second
after the switch is released.
INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING SAFE USE
Before starting to work check the hedge carefully against invisible
objects, such as fence, mesh etc.
•
Connect hedge trimmer to appropriate extension cord.
•
Put the extension cord in the power cord holder (

) (
fig. B
).
•
When trimming long branches perform the work gradually, by layers.
•
Operate the hedge trimmer only when the hedge is dry.
•
After the work is finished put the blade shield on.
TRIMMING HEDGES
•
Besides trimming hedges, the hedge trimmer can also be used to trim
bushes and shrubs.
•
The best results can be achieved when guiding the blade so it is at an
angle of approx. 15
0
with respect to the hedge.
•
Two sided blade and counter-moving cutting parts allows cutting in
both directions or swinging motion (
fig. C
).
•
To obtain uniform height of hedge, extending a rope or a line along
trimmed hedge plane is recommended. Cut branches protruding
above the defined line (
fig. D
).
•
To guide the branches into the blade, move it evenly forward or
backward along the line of cutting.
•
Perform hedge sides trimming in arc motions, from bottom to top
(
fig. E
).
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Unplug the power cord from the mains socket before commencing
any activities related to installation, adjustment, repair or
maintenance.
Exercise caution due to sharp edges of cutting teeth. When not in
use, the blade shall always be protected with the blade shield.
CLEANING
•
Clean hedge trimmer body and plastic parts with soft brush and cloth.
•
Do not use water or agents with solvents or polishing substances.
•
Remember to always keep the ventilation holes of the hedge trimmer
casing clean.
MAINTENANCE AND STORING
•
Check hedge trimmer against obvious damages, such as loosened
or damaged blade, loose screw joints and worn out or damaged
structural parts.
•
Ensure guards and protection parts are not damaged and installed
properly. Carry out all necessary maintenance and repair works before
using the hedge trimmer.
•
Clean the blade and spray preserving liquid on it after each use. When
operating the tool for a long time, it is recommended to regularly
lubricate the blade with thin layer of oil (
fig. F
).
•
Check condition of blade edges.
•
Store the hedge trimmer in a safe, dry place, beyond reach of children.
•
Do not put any objects on the hedge trimmer body.
All faults should be repaired by service workshop authorized by the
manufacturer.
