Voicemail is a network service for receiving voice
messages that may be offered by your service
provider.
To use the
V O I C E M A I L
key to listen to your voice
messages, the voice mailbox number must be
stored in your Vertu phone.

service provider.
I N C A L L F U N C T I O N S
While you are in a call, several functions are
available from the
O p t i o n s
submenu:
S P E A K E R P H O N E
The speaker phone uses the internal speaker in
your Vertu phone to allow you to have a hands-free
phone call or allow people around you to
participate in conversation.
To use the speaker phone while in a call:

Press and hold the

key. This is the
V O I C E M A I L
key.

If you are prompted,
key in the voice mailbox
number and press
O K
.
H o l d
or
U n h o l d
Put a call on hold or
unholds a held call. When
you hold a call you cannot
hear the person you are in
a call with and the person
cannot hear you.
M u t e
or
U n m u t e
Mute or unmute your Vertu
phone’s microphone.
When you mute a call you
can hear the other person
you are in a call with, but
the person cannot hear
you.
H a n d s e t
Return to normal use.
H e a d s e t
Transfers the audio to a
compatible hands-free or a
headset connected to the
phone.
C o n t a c t s
Access the directory.
N e w c a l l
Make a new call while you
have a call in progress.
M e n u
Access your Vertu phone’s
menus. For more
information refer to “Menu
Navigation” on page 8.
Lo ck k e y p a d
Lock the keypad to
prevent an accidental key
press.
R e c o rd
Record the call.
S w a p
Switch between the active
call and the held call.
Tr a n s f e r
Connect the active call
directly to the held call and
disconnect yourself from
both calls.
C o n f e re n c e
Join several calls together
into one conversation.
P r i v a t e c a l l
Have a private
conversation with one
participant in a conference
call.
E n d c a l l
Disconnect the active call
and make any held
call active.
E n d a l l c a l l s
Disconnect all calls and
return to stand-by.
Lo u d s p e a k e r
Use the phone in
speakerphone mode. Do
not hold the phone to your
ear when the loudspeaker
is active.

activate the speaker
phone. A confirmation
message appears.
You no longer need to hold
your Vertu phone in the
normal speaking position.

Continue your
conversation.
To deactivate the speaker
phone:

to the normal speaking
position.

Continue your
conversation.
The call options remain available when using
the speaker phone.
