Appendix C: Routine Maintenance
Your CopyDisc unit should be kept clean to ensure a long and reliable service.
Cleaning the CopyDisc
Always switch off and disconnect the unit from the mains supply before cleaning.
If it gets dusty, the casing of your CopyDisc can be cleaned with a small, dry brush.
The main shaft should always clear and free from dirt and contaminants.
Every 10,000 CDs or more often if the unit is used or stored in a dirty environment; the
main shaft should be cleaned.
First remove the dirt using a lint free cloth and a degreasing agent (not water!), Isopropyl
Alcohol (IPA) is an ideal cleaning agent.
After this apply a small drop of light machine oil with a lint free cloth, and this should be run
up and down the main shaft.
NOTE:
It is important to clean the slide bar before re-lubricating it!
