7.4 Battery life
Incorrect use of the batteries can cause them to wear more quickly. Rapid wear is not covered
by the guarantee.
Tips to prolong battery life:
1. It is recommended never to let the battery drain completely.
2. Charging an empty battery immediately increases the lifespan considerably. Discharging
further than 20% adversely affects the lifespan.
3. Never interrupt charging, allow to fully charge.
4. If the V-move is not used (for a longer period of time), it is recommended to leave the battery
charger connected; this will automatically keep the battery charged.
5. Overloading the batteries will shorten their lifespan considerably. The load should therefore be
adjusted.
6. We recommend that you do not discharge the batteries completely. If this often happens, this
will also result in faster wear. Keep a close eye on the battery condition meter and connect the
battery charger in good time.
7. The batteries must be charged with the right charger and for a specified period of time. If the
charging current is too low or the duration of the charge is too short, the batteries will not be
fully charged and the battery capacity will be too low for your application, resulting in faster
wear. If the charging current is too high or the duration of the charge is too long, the battery
will be overcharged. This will overheat and damage the plates of your battery.
8. A battery slowly drains due to self-discharge. Leaving a battery discharged will result in
sulphation and irrevocable damage. We therefore recommend recharging a stored V-move at
least every 3 months.
When replacing the battery, the old battery must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
