Install the ventilation tube in the wall or ceiling. For wall installation ensure there
is a slight gradient (~2°) towards the outside. For ceiling installation you must
insulate the air duct if it passes through unheated areas. Remove the ventilator
grille (B) from the housing by loosening the screws. Carefully cut out the opening
for the feed cable. Feed the cable through the rubber nipple (D) and connect
according to the switching diagram (G). For the setting of the post-running time
(Model V 10 N), remove the cover (E) and rotate the poten tiometer clockwise to
lengthen the post-run time (Fig. 1). Recon nect the ventilator grille and screw
tightly.
Important notes:
A second permanently active conductor phase is required for the ope ration with
post-run (Model V 10 N).
Ensure that all electric power is turned off before carrying out any work. The
electrical connections may be made only by a suitable qualified per son and
must comply with the locally applicable regulations. The mains voltage and fre-
quency must match the values on the rating label of the ventilator. The ventilator
must be connected to a switch connection unit having a contact separation of at
least 3 mm at each pole. The ventilators are double-insulated and do not need a
ground conductor.
If a fireplace with chimney is used, care must be taken that sufficient air can
enter the room being ventilated. The installation in wet rooms must be carried
out according to DIN/VDE 0100 Part 701. Use a soft brush or moist cloth to clean
the unit, do not use any solvents.
