Door

Adjustment

In

order

for

your

fireplace

to

burn

at

its

best

efficiency,

the

door

must

provide

a

perfect

seal

with

the

firebox.

Therefore,

the

gasket

should

be

inspected

periodically

to

check

for

a

good

seal.

The

gasket

seal

may

be

improved

with

a

simple

latch

mechanism

adjustment.

To

adjust:

1.

Remove

the

split

pin

(A)

by

pulling

it

using

pliers.

Then

remove

the

latch

bearing

(B)

and

the

pin

(C).

2.

Turn

the

handle

counter

clock

wise

one

turn

to

increase

pressure.

To

reduce

the

pressure,

when

installing

a

new

gasket

for

example,

turn

clock

wise.

3.

Re

‐

install

the

pin

(C),

the

latch

bearing

(B)

and

the

split

pin

(A)

onto

the

handle

rod.
