Vellem an® has over 35 years of
experience in the electronics world and
distributes its products in m ore than 85
countries.
All our products fulfil strict quality
requirem ents and legal stipulations in the
EU. I n order to ensure the quality, our
products regularly go through an extra
quality check, both by an internal quality
departm ent and by specialized external
organisations. I f, all precautionary
m easures notwithstanding, problem s
should occur, please m ake appeal to our
warranty (see guarantee conditions).
General W arranty Condit ions
Concerning Consum er Product s ( for
EU) :
• All consum er products are subj ect to a
24-m onth warranty on production flaws
and defective m aterial as from the original
date of purchase.
• Vellem an® can decide to replace an
article with an equivalent article, or to
refund the retail value totally or partially
when the com plaint is valid and a free
repair or replacem ent of the article is
im possible, or if the expenses are out of
proportion.
You will be delivered a replacing article or
a refund at the value of 100% of the
purchase price in case of a flaw occurred
in the first year after the date of purchase
and delivery, or a replacing article at 50%
of the purchase price or a refund at the
value of 50% of the retail value in case of
a flaw occurred in the second year after
the date of purchase and delivery.
• Not covered by w arrant y:
- all direct or indirect dam age caused after
delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation,
shocks, falls, dust, dirt, hum idity...), and
by the article, as well as its contents (e.g.
data loss), com pensation for loss of
profits;
- frequently replaced consum able goods,
parts or accessories such as batteries,
lam ps, rubber parts, drive belts...
(unlim ited list);
- flaws resulting from fire, water dam age,
lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc.
…;
- flaws caused deliberately, negligently or
resulting from im proper handling,
negligent m aintenance, abusive use or use
contrary to the m anufacturer’s
instructions;
- dam age caused by a com m ercial,
professional or collective use of the article
(the warranty validity will be reduced to
six (6) m onths when the article is used
professionally);
- dam age resulting from an inappropriate
packing and shipping of the article;
- all dam age caused by m odification,
repair or alteration perform ed by a third
party without written perm ission by
Vellem an® .
• Articles to be repaired m ust be delivered
to your Vellem an® dealer, solidly packed
(preferably in the original packaging), and
be com pleted with the original receipt of
purchase and a clear flaw description.
• Hint: I n order to save on cost and tim e,
please reread the m anual and check if the
flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to
presenting the article for repair. Note that
returning a non-defective article can also
involve handling costs.
• Repairs occurring after warranty
expiration are subj ect to shipping costs.
• The above conditions are without
prej udice to all com m ercial warranties.
