The edge of the air cushion must seal with the lower edge of the body for proper operation. If the skirt becomes
loose, push the edge of the skirt back into the slot of the body (maybe put some glue on it). Do not use a sharp
object (screwdriver, pen, knife) to reinsert it to avoid punctures.
•
Small holes or tears in the skirt may be repaired with some "Super Glue" type of glue (cyanoacrylate). Use a small
amount and follow the glue manufacturer's instructions.
7. Cleaning and Maintenance
Wipe the
TRC5
clean after each use, also the inside of the battery compartments.
After use on water, snow or ice, take the battery pack out of the hovercraft, wipe everything dry and leave it to dry
completely with the battery compartment door off.
8. Troubleshooting
PROBLEM

SOLUTION
Hovercraft runs slowly or won't
move/steer
- battery dead or low
- incorrect polarity
- loose battery connection
- power switch is off
- replace or recharge batteries
- correct polarity
- verify connections
- turn the power switch on
Erratic operation, short range,
no control
- interference from building, CB etc.
- weak remote control battery
- weak hovercraft battery
- move to another location
- point antenna up, not at the TRC5
- recharge hovercraft battery pack
- replace remote control battery
Hovercraft stops working after
going in water or snow
- water in battery/electronics/motor
Turn the TRC5 off
immediately
.
Remove batteries, wipe everything
dry and leave it to dry overnight with
the battery compartment door off.
Short running time
- battery pack not fully charged
- battery pack charged when hot
- battery pack faulty or worn out
- capacity of battery pack is too small
- recharge / replace battery pack
- allow battery pack to cool down
before recharging
- Use battery packs > 750mAh
