Remarks :
•
The penultimate in the programming sequence MUST be "REC". The last command/code MUST be
STOP/STANDBY.
•
Different VCR's have different default settings for the standby mode e.g. when certain VCR's are switched back
on after standby, they will automatically switch back to the last channel that had been selected. Other VCR's
automatically switch to channel 1. The learn mode varies depending on the model and make of your VCR.
Consequently, you should also read the manuals for your TV and your VCR.

When the CAMZWEXT3N is in VCR mode and the control unit is triggered, the latter will have the VCR record on
the tape that is currently loaded into the VCR.
Example of how to programme a command/code sequence
1. Cover the VCR's IR detector to avoid possible interference.
2. Point the VCR's remote control at the front panel of the control unit. Limit the distance between control unit and
remote to a max. 30cm.
3. Hold the LEARN button on the control unit for 2 seconds (the LEARN LED will flash quickly, indicating that the
CAMZWEXT3N is in LEARN mode). It will wait to receive a remote control's codes for 15 seconds. The system
will exit the LEARN mode and the LEARN LED will extinguish if no IR codes are received within 15 seconds.
4. Press REC on your VCR remote control unit until you hear a beep. This beep indicates that the IR code has been
learnt. The LEARN LED will flash quickly again to indicate that the system is ready to learn the next
command/code.
5. Press the PWR/STANDBY button on your VCR remote control until the CAMZWEXT3N beeps. The beep
indicates that the IR code has been learnt. The LEARN LED will flash quickly again to indicate it is ready to learn
the next command/code.
6. Enter the desired code sequence and wait for 15 seconds until the device beeps twice. The LEARN LED will now
extinguish to indicate that the device has left the LEARN mode.
7. Hold the VCR button for 2 seconds in order to test the learnt sequence. The CAMZWEXT3N will immediately
send out the IR commands to the VCR. Check to see if you have programmed the correct sequence. Make sure
the IR transmitter is aimed at the front panel of your VCR and that there are no obstructions between the two. Try
the procedure again if the VCR does not respond to the control unit's signals.
Notes
•
A minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 IR codes should be learnt.
•
The device will beep for ± 2 seconds and leave the learn mode in case of an error. Possible problems : only 1
code has been entered or the CAMZWEXT3N does not recognise the model or make of your remote. In this case
you should try to programme the code sequence a second time.
•
The command "REC" MUST take up the penultimate position in any sequence consisting of more than 2
commands.
b) Setting the trigger sources by switch position
OFF
Put the TV switch in the OFF position to avoid automatic triggering.
PIR
With the switch in the PIR position, the control unit is only triggered by movement in front of the
camera.
AUDIO
With the switch in the AUDIO position, the control unit cannot be activated by the sounds picked
up by the camera's internal microphone.
PIR + AUDIO
With the switch in the PIR + AUDIO position, the control unit is activated by both movement and
sound.
