2. Installation
Before installing the device, you should check if the control unit and the camera are compatible with your equipment.
Attach the camera to the ball-joint arm by carefully tightening the small screw on the base of the camera arm. Be
careful not to overtighten the screw.
Plug the camera's male mini-DIN plug into the female mini-DIN socket (marked "TV") on the CAMZWEXT3N's control
unit. Connect the VCR SCART plug with the "AV1" SCART socket of your VCR marked "VCR".
Connect the "TV" SCART plug with the TV's AV1 socket.
Position the IR transmitter in front of the VCR at a max. distance of approximately 40cm. Make sure the IR
transmitter is pointing to the front panel of the VCR, ensuring there is are no obstructions between the transmitter
and the front panel of the VCR.
Important Remark :
Do not expose the camera to direct sunlight. Not only does this affect picture quality, but it also inflicts damage upon
the camera's electronics. You can have the camera cover a door, for example, in order to keep an eye on your
visitors. In this case you should take care not to install the camera at too great a remove since your visitors might
become inaudible if you do. The camera is water-resistant, allowing installation both indoors and outdoors. However,
the camera is NOT waterproof and should therefore not be exposed to adverse weather conditions e.g. heavy rains.
