6.2. Paint repair procedure
6.2.1. General aspects
Bangs to the components to be assembled must be avoided
during handling (falls, chafing, etc.) and assembly (hammer
blows, misaligned assemblies, etc.), always using suitable
methods.
A visual check must be performed for any scratches
that could cause a loss of paint on the metal sheets and,
therefore, affect the product's aesthetics. The verification
criteria are as follows. Any scratches or deterioration during
assembly, handling or installation are not acceptable. If
scratches are detected upon delivery of the equipment,
this must be reported to
Ormazabal
's technical service for
repair.
Any damage that occurs during transport, installation
or commissioning must be repaired. Two situations are
possible:
• Damage that does not reach the metal.
• Damage that reaches the metal. The affected part must
be replaced if the affected area is larger than 15 cm
2
.
In both cases they must be repaired according to the
established procedure.
Care must be taken when cleaning both the
components and the tools required for assembly.
Confirm that all tools and components are free of
burrs, grease, impurities, dust, etc.
