Assembly
ATTENTION!
Make sure that all cables have been laid pinch-free and abrasion-free.
Make sure that the VAS safety electronics and cables do not collide with
the steering system or the brake and accelerator pedals.
Securely fasten the VAS safety
electronics in the vehicle, then lay
and fasten the cables, preferably
with cable ties.
Laying the cables
NOTE
Before finally laying the cables, check that the two contact housings have been
assembled on the accelerator modules correctly (see Operation on page 4-1). If
they have not, replace the contact housings on the accelerator modules.
Prosthetics guard holder
NOTE
It is strongly recommended to attach a prosthetics guard between the brake
pedal and the right-foot accelerator module if the driver is going to use the left-
foot accelerator module. This stops the right foot from getting stuck under and
blocking the brake pedal.
If you have any questions about this, please contact the manufacturer (for details
of the hotline, see page 1-3).
Checking the function
When the assembly is complete, check it has been done properly against the
installation record.
Above all, check the function of the driving aid:
- When stationary
- On a test run
ATTENTION!
Disassembling the driving aid
Disassemble the driving aid by following the assembly steps in reverse order.
