Standard Installation
GPS Fleet Tracking
Placement of Device with Internal Antenna
Installing on an EXTERIOR surface:
Mount on any surface in a horizontal position, label-side down with a
clear view of the sky and secure using self-tapping screws.
• If a horizontal position is not possible, ensure device is
attached to asset with label-side toward asset.
• Top of device should face the sky as much as possible.
• Install where water will not pool around device.
• Install away from exposure to excessive heat.
(Maximum 60 degrees C)
• Use caution when drilling to avoid damage to wiring,
electronics, plumbing, etc.
• Protect device by installing in a location safe from impact
when asset is in operation.
Installing in an INTERIOR location:
If device is installed on equipment with a cockpit, place far forward,
high up under the dashboard, above the steering column as close to
the windshield as possible. Secure the device and all excess wires with
zip ties and away from moving parts to prevent damage or detach-
ment. Wrap wires carefully to avoid pinching!

Biased Low:
Input is pulled to ground
by default and will sense when voltage is
applied to it.
Biased High:
Input is pulled to a voltage
by default and will sense when it is
connected to ground.
Verify Installation:
The SOLID RED LED indicates the device is
receiving power from an external source.
When powered, the YELLOW (GPS) and
AMBER (cell) LEDs will flash on and off
while searching for signals. When full
signal strength is achieved (generally 2 -
5 minutes), both LEDs will continuously
illuminate.
Log-on to the web-based control panel to
verify the installation after the YELLOW
and AMBER LEDs are solidly lit.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Metal and metal oxide windshields (lead-based window tint) all block
GPS signals. Install device above or away from these materials so internal antenna can receive
and transmit. Plastic, wood and regular glass does not interfere with GPS signals.
