CONNECTING TO A PORTABLE 12 VOLT DC POWER SUPPLY,
FOR USE AWAY FROM VEHICLE

- Make sure that the unit’s COOL/WARM/OFF switch is in the OFF position.

- Insert the 12 volt DC plug on the power cord into the 12 volt DC socket on the

portable power supply and the other end of the cord into socket on cooler.

-  Continue with steps 4-9, for cooler or warmer function. Observe all CAUTIONS

AND WARNINGS. Refer to page 4 for Cooling and page 5 for Warming.

Note:

With a current draw of approximately 3-amps (36-watts), the unit will operate for

approximately 1.5 hours from a fully charged 12 volt DC portable power supply such as

the Vector Pocket Power™ (Model #VEC018) or Pocket Generator™ (Model #VEC018AC).

A standard 19 Ampere Hour Jumpstarter/Power Supply such as the VEC021 series -

can operate the cooler/warmer for approximately 6 hours.

CONNECTING TO AN AC (110V)/DC (12V) POWER ADAPTER

• Plug converter’s (VEC002-110V) power cord into standard 110 Volt 60 HZ outlet
• Make sure that unit’s COOL/WARM/OFF switch is in the off position
• Insert the 12 Volt DC socket of the AC/DC power adapter

and the other end into

socket on cooler.

OBSERVE ALL CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS.

FUSE REPLACEMENT

The power cord is fuse-protected against short-circuiting, by a 10-amp fuse

located in the tip of the 12 Volt DC power plug. If the DC socket is powered, but

the unit does not operate, then the cooler/warmer fuse may be open.

To inspect or replace the DC Power Cord Fuse

1.  Unscrew the end-cap of the DC plug counter-clockwise.

2.  Remove fuse, inspect it for an open element, and replace with a new 10-amp

fuse, if needed.

3.  Re-attach the end-cap to the plug.

4.  If new fuse opens, call Vector Customer Service department for further

instructions and possible return/replacement. This unit is not user-serviceable,

it must be returned to Vector Manufacturing for professional service or repair.

Any attempt to service by user will void warranty.
