Description

Language

Set the desired language for the device. You can choose from a total of 8 languages.

Speed unit

Here you can set the unit for speed /distance. You have two options: kilometers or miles.

Setting the clock

To set the time, first select the time format (12 or 24 hour format). Then you have to set the correct time zone and indicate whether daylight
saving time is currently in your time zone. The R4 GPS then automatically sets the correct time if a GPS satellite has been connected.
These settings are also synchronized with the smartphone.

Set the date

For the correct date, first select the date format. Here you can choose between dd.mm.yy and mm/dd/yy.
Then set the current year, month and day. This data is also synchronized with the smartphone.

GPS

Select whether the R4 GPS should receive speed and distance via GPS.
If you set this option to ”OFF”, this data must come from the e-bike.

Auto pause

With this setting you define whether the R4 GPS should automatically switch to a pause mode at speeds < 2.2 km/h.
If this setting is „OFF“, the training time and data recording run continuously.

Sounds

Here you can mute the R4 GPS or allow tones.

Smart notifications

Here you can set whether you want to receive smart notifications from your smartphone or not. If this option is set to ON, your smartphone
must be connected to the R4 GPS and the notifications for the desired smartphone app must be activated.

Backlight

Under this menu item you can set how the background lighting of the R4 GPS should behave.
There are two options:
1. Automatic: The background lighting switches on automatically when the R4 GPS detects dark ambient lighting.
2. Press the button: The backlight only switches on in a dark environment when a button is pressed. The lighting remains on for 5s if no other
button is pressed.

Description

With this setting you can switch the value labels ON or OFF during training. If this setting is OFF, a direct page change takes place when
the + or - button is pressed. If this setting is ON, the value is displayed in each field for 2 seconds.

Auto Off

If this setting is ON, the device switches itself off after 15 minutes of inactivity to save energy. If a training session has not yet been saved, you
can continue it after switching the device on again. There is an exception here. If the R4 GPS 4.0 has been connected to the PC via a USB-C
cable, the training session is automatically saved and ended.

Reset device

With this menu item you can reset the device to the factory settings.

ATTENTION: All personal settings and data on the device will be lost.

Device settings

To change the settings of your device, select the menu item ”Device” in the settings. The settings are described in the following table:

Confirm the setting with the START button.

To do this, connect your smartphone to the SIGMA RIDE app.

Then select ”Set training views” in the SIGMA RIDE app. By clicking on the corresponding field you can assign
a value to the field that you would like to see in training.
