VIP 10 / VIP 1000
Recording video sequences
You can manually save segments of the current video sequence displayed on the
Livepage to your hard drive. The video sequences will be stored in MPEG format.
– Click the
MPEG Recording
icon to start recording a sequence. The storage
location depends on the configuration of the VIP (see page 62).
Recording begins immediately. The red dot on the
MPEG Recording
icon
flashes while the recording is in progress.
– Click the icon once more to stop the recording.
Note
Use the VCS MPEG viewer to play the recorded video. The latest version
of the MPEG viewer is on the accompanying software CD. It is also
available from VCS Customer Service or as an Internet download at
www.vcs.com.
Image resolution
The sequences will be recorded at the resolution specified in the settings for the
corresponding encoder (see page 43 ). Select the encoder for Livepage video
display on the configuration page
MPEG viewer installation
You will find the VCS MPEG viewer on the accompanying software CD.
– Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive of the computer. The CD will start
automatically. If the CD does not start automatically, open it in Windows
Explorer.
– Open the directory entitled
MPEG-Viewer
and copy the
MPEGViewer.exe
file
to your hard drive.
– You can start the MPEG viewer by double-clicking the file
MPEGViewer.exe
.
