Connecting Audio Equipment
If the
VideoJet X.21/G.703
is equipped with the audio option,
basically two audio channels are available, called
handset
and
audio in/out
. Only one of these two audio interfaces can be active
at one time.
(1) Handset Microphone, positive terminal
(2) Handset Speaker, positive terminal
(3) Handset Speaker, negative terminal
(4) Handset Microphone, ground terminal

A handset can be connected to the RJ11 receptacle labelled
Hand-
set
at the front panel of the
VideoJet X.21/G.703
. In order to
select this audio interface check the radio button labelled
Handset
in the Audio Configuration Page.

To select this audio port, check the setting for audio channel 1 or
audio channel 2 on the audio/video configuration page with
NCTer-
minal
. Audio channel 2 must be active for the
handset
.
In this configuration menu you can also select an input and output
level of between 0...255. You can also set the audio coding method
at the sender end under menu item
Audio/Video
with
NCTerminal
.
You can select different modes or switch off audio completely. The
audio transmission method can be set on the local device or for the
remote device with the
NCTerminal
software.
