The System Administrator
determines which channel to
make the default through the Options/Features menu. For example, s/he might make the
local free-air channel the default. If no default is specified then the first alphabetical channel
in the SAP list is displayed first. This default channel is displayed in the video preview
window located in the upper left hand section of the display screen.
Folders

When the installation includes
Video-on-Demand, this menu
presents a list corresponding to
the folders located on EtherneTV
VOD server. This folder file
information is obtained from
EtherneTV VOD by the Media
Control Server, or MCS, and
presented in an HTML page.
The folders are listed in
alphabetical order by default.

NOTE:
The interface can be
modified to eliminate support
for folder name at the top-
level interface so that the
user can skip folder
navigation and search
through the filenames
directly. This is only
recommended if the size of
EtherneTV VOD asset
library is relatively small.

contain files that can be
requested by and played back
either on a computer or through
a set top box on a monitor. The
