Getting started

Filling the water tank

With the iron disconnected

from the mains open the

water fill cover.

Tilt the iron forwards.

Using the jug provided fill

the water tank up to the

Max fill line.

Close the water fill cover.

Before you begin

CAUTION:

The soleplate becomes very hot during use. Always allow the iron to cool down before carrying out any

maintenance or trouble shooting. Do not use hot or boiling water to fill the water tank. Don’t over fill the water tank

or exceed the maximum amount required. Always unplug from the mains before topping the tank up with water.

Always switch off the iron and allow to cool before emptying the water tank.

IMPORTANT:

When using the iron basic safety precautions should always be observed.

Don’t aim the steam jet at people, animals, plants and electrical components or wires. Never touch the steam jet

(there is a risk of scalding).
Before first use remove labels and all packaging.
Always make sure the water fill cover is closed correctly before use.

NOTE:

The iron can be filled with tap water. For hard water areas we recommend the use of distilled or

demineralised water. Half fill the water tank with distilled or demineralised water and top up to the ‘Max’ line

with tap water.
Do not add perfume, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids or other chemicals to the water tank.
When filling make sure the appliance is unplugged.
