7.8 Canopy / Entrance / Interior
The canopy is primarily latched/opened by operating the
yellow

outside, the 2 visible lids have to be squeezed together and
the main handle rotated.
From the inside, the mechanism is unlatched by pushing the
small tab forward and rotating the main handle.
Also, a secondary latch mechanism locks the canopy at the
top center to the rollbar. This latch can only be operated
from the inside.
The canopy quick release cannot be operated in flight but is
a convenient way to remove the canopy for maintenance.
The mechanism is secured by a screw in the subpanel.
There is a canopy unlock warning

which triggers if the main latch is not locked and/or the
canopy not in the fully down position. The alarm can be
acknowledged by the VP200 acknowledge button on the
control sticks.
