4.4 User RFD-200 S2 Timer in the Single Input Mode
The RFD-200 S2 timer can be started and stopped with the START INPUT only. This
feature is handy to measure the time duration of the START INPUT when it changes
states then returns to the previous state. This feature works only with the DRY or WET
(input) option of the START INPUT.
To Select the Single Input Mode, press and hold the START INPUT arrow key for 2
seconds. The display will show “Single Input Mode”.
Use the following steps to measure the time a relay contact remains opened.
1. Press and hold the
TIMER START
key for 2 seconds to select “Single Input Mode”.
2. Observe the “
SINGLE INPUT MODE
” is displayed on the RFD-200 S2 LCD.
3. Connect the
TIMER START
inputs to the relay as NC contact.
4. Select
DRY INPUT
in
TIMER START
timer control box.
5. Select
START-ON
in the Control Box.
6. Energize the relay coil to open the NC contact. Observe the RFD-200 S2 timer has
started counting.
7. De-energize the relay coil to close the relay contact. Observe the RFD-200 S2 timer
has stopped counting.
Note
Press and hold the TIMER START key for 2 seconds to return the RFD-200 S2 timer to
dual input mode.
