Fireplace control devices

There are two ways to control your 

fi

replace.

1.  Thermostatic Remote Control

 turns 

fi

 re ON 

and OFF, controls 

fl

 ame height and can be pro-

grammed to function automatically.

2. Wall Switch

 (optional) turns 

fi

 re ON and OFF, and 

controls 

fl

 ame height.

 Turn your 

fi

 replace ON

Press and hold: 

-   + ( ) on remote, or  

- ON-OFF button on wall switch

until a short beep con

fi

rms the start sequence has 

begun; release button(s). 

The 

fi

replace beeps twice to con

fi

rm the ignition is in 

process.The pilot lights up, followed by the 

fi

replace.

If you need to light up the pilot manually, see the 

Fireplace and Lighting Information card attached to 

the 

fi

replace - see page 7 to learn how to access it. 

Also, a copy of this card is reproduced in Appendix A 

of the Installation Manual.

 Turn your 

fi

 replace OFF (including pilot)

Press and hold: 

-   on remote, or  

- ON-OFF button on wall switch

If the 

fl

ames or pilot are on, they will go out and you 

will hear the valve motor wind down. You will hear 

a clunk and a beep indicating that the valve has 

received the signal from the remote control.
In the unlikely event that you cannot turn o

 your 

fi

replace with the remote control handset, use the 

optional wall switch. If the wall switch malfunctions 

and will not turn o

 the 

fi

replace, wait 8 hours and 

the 

fi

replace will automatically go to pilot. You can 

then access the controls inside your 

fi

replace, once it 

has cooled. 

Alternatively, you may turn o

 the house gas supply. 

In all cases, call your dealer for service assistance.
