3. Unscrew the pilot injector using an Allen key. Dis-
card the old pilot injector.
4. Replace with the appro-
priate pilot injector—see
Speci
fi
cations table on page
1 (the pilot injector number
is stamped on the barrel).
Screw in the new injector.
5. Re
fi
t the pilot hood by push-
ing down on it, mating its
notch and key at the base.
Ensure that it snaps into
position.
6. Re-install the pilot shield (2
screws).
Replace the Minimum Rate Bypass Screw
1. Carefully turn the module assembly upside down.
2. Locate the bypass screw on the valve. It may be
covered by a sticker. Remove the bypass screw and
discard.
Note:
The bypass screw may require either a
fl
at
head screwdriver or Allen key depending on its type.
The bypass screw has a rubber O-ring that may
need to be carefully pulled out using pliers after
unscrewing it.
3. Insert the replacement minimum rate bypass screw
and hand-tighten using a screwdriver/Allen key.
Refer to the
Speci
fi
cations
table on page 1 for proper
bypass screw (the number is stamped on the barrel
of the screw).

Valve
elbow to the burner, as tightly as possible while
leaving the elbow connection angled toward the fuel
supply line. Do not over tighten.
7. Replace the burner. The stem
on the end of the air shutter
must mate with the vertical
slot in the link bracket. No nut
is required.
8. Connect the fuel supply line
and tighten the nut. The burn-
er angle may need adjusting
to better align injector threads
with the fuel line nut while
tightening.
9. Reattach the burner supports (4 screws).
Test Air Shutter Movement
Under the burner plate, locate the air shutter lever and
slide it from left to right to ensure it is moving freely.
Replace Pilot Injector
1. Remove the pilot shield (2 screws).
2. Remove the pilot hood by releasing the U-clip and
pulling up on the hood. The U-clip should not be
removed.
