Install Handset Wall Holder
The remote control kit for this
fi
replace comes complete with a
wall-mounted holder. This holder
is not required in all installations
but is provided as an optional
feature for those customers who
wish to mount the remote handset
to the wall.
To install the holder to the wall,
fi
nd a convenient location and
use the hardware provided with
the kit. See the diagram below
for required hardware and
con
fi
gurations. Note that the
holder can be installed at the
base of a light switch plate.
IMPORTANT
. The location of the remote control handset is important to assure proper temperature regulation. To
obtain a constant temperature, we recommend that the handset should be between 3 and 15 feet away from the
appliance
but not directly above it
. We also advise that the handset should be located away from any other heat
source and not in direct sunlight as this may affect the temperature sensor located in the remote handset.

Install Barrier Screen to the Appliance
A barrier screen is supplied with this appliance to install
in front of the window. The barrier screen is designed
speci
fi
cally to prevent any contact with the glass of
the
fi
replace which becomes hot during operation and
remains hot when cooling.
To install the screen:
1. Once the trim is installed on the
fi
replace or the wall
fi
nish is done around the opening of the
fi
replace,
adjust the convection baf
fl
e at the top of the opening
of the
fi
replace by releasing the two screws holding
it and pushing it as far in as possible. Tighten the
screws.
2. Hook the barrier screen’s top tabs in the slots of the
convection baf
fl
e (a).
3. Push the screen up and hook the bottom serrated
tabs to the brackets at the bottom of the
fi
replace
opening (b).
