5� Planetary right angle gearbox contains approximately 4�5 im-
perial gallons (5,3 U�S� gallons or 20 liters)�
Draining:
1� Remove the air breather cap�
2� Place a catch tub under the gearbox, unscrew drain plug from
the bottom of the gearbox and let the oil flow out completely�
Clean the plug to remove durt on the magnet�
3� Reinstall the drain plug�
Filling:
A� Filling by gravity:
1� Remove air breather cap from the expansion reservoir and pour
slowly the oil� The oil will flow through the hose and up into
the gearbox by gravity�
2� When the gearbox is full, the oil level in the reservoir will sta-
bilise to the oil level mark� Reinstall the cap�
IMPORTANT
Do not operate the mixer until the planetary gearbox has been
filled with a minimum of 4,25 imperial gallons (5 U.S. gallons
or 20 liters).
B� Filling with an oil transfer pump:
1� Unscrew the hose from the reservoir and connect it to the oil
transfer pump hose (see figure 4)� Pump approximatively 4
imperial gallons (5 U�S� gallons or 19 liters)��
2� Reinstall the hose to the reservoir and complete filling by gra-
vity to the oil level mark�
5.1.5 - CHANGING 2 SPEED GEARBOX OIL
It is recommended to run the mixer for several minutes to warm the
oil before draining� Draining oil while it is hot avoid sludge depo-
siting�
• Use SAE 80/90 gear oil or SAE 70/80 gear oil�
• Check oil level monthly�
• Change oil for the first time after 100 hours of operation�
• Thereafter, change the oil every 2000 hours of operation or at
least once a year, whichever occurs first�
Changing oil:
1� Remove the air breather cap / filling plug� (See figure below)
2� Place a catch tub under the gearbox, unscrew drain plug and let
the oil flow out completely�
3� Reinstall the drain plug�
4� Remove oil level plug
5� Pour oil slowly in the elbow until the oil comes out of the oil
level plug�
6� Reinstall and tighten all plugs�

Damage caused by operating the mixer with
lower oil level will not be covered by warranty.
