Lower the rear of the brush assembly to insert the metal spade into the
receptacle.
13.
Secure the brush assembly with a screw.
14.
Remove and replace the second brush using the same procedures.
15.
After both brushes have been replaced, reassemble the foam housing around
the motor.
16.
Replace the foam housing and motor in the cover, positioned in the original
orientation as it was removed.
17.
Match each of the three wire leads from the motor with the wire of the same
color. Attach and firmly seat each connector.
18.
Replace the bottom plate on the cover and secure with the screws previously
removed.
19.
Turn over the smoke evacuator, placing it upright on the rubber feet.
20.
Plug the power cable into the smoke evacuator receptacle and a power outlet.
21.
Simultaneously press and hold the up-arrow (
) and down-arrow (
)
buttons until the Maintenance Required LED turns off.
22.
Verify the smoke evacuator is working properly by progressing through the
suction settings using the up-arrow (
) air flow control, then regress using
the down-arrow (
) control.
Important
The plate around the fan-motor assembly has upraised tabs that are keyed to fit
each foam section in the proper orientation. Match the slots in foam edges with
the tabs.
