Before using the electronic detector for the first time,
read and apply the safety regulations and the instructions
below in order to familiarise yourself with the commands
and to prevent incorrect operations and/or wrong
measurements.
Any use which is different from that expressly indicated in
this manual could cause damage to people or animals and
must be considered incorrect and expressly forbidden, as
well as making the manufacturer’s guarantee invalid.
Carefully store this manual for future consultation during
electronic detector’s lifetime.
WARNING!
The tool is supplied with the batteries disconnected.
INSTALLING THE BATTERIES
Fig.A: Remove the screw with a small screwdriver.
Fig.B: Withdraw the cover.
Fig.C: Insert the 9V battery observing the polarity.
Fig.D: Put the battery into the space as indicated in the
picture, than close the instrument with the cover and
fix the screw.
USING THE DETECTOR
1. Switch the detector on moving the wheel towards the “ON”
position. The red light switches on and a continuous acoustic
signal is emitted.
2. Slightly turn the wheel towards the “OFF” position until the
light switches off and the acoustic signal is interrupted.
WARNING: This operation must be carried out keeping the
tool far from metals and live cables.
The detector is now ready for use.
Check the correct functioning of the equipment by moving it
towards live or metallic elements.
Localisation of metals inside the wall
Fig.E: Grasp the detector as shown in the figure and move it
towards the wall, making sideways movements along
the wall.The presence of metals will be signalled by
the light switched on (fixed light) and a continuous
acoustic signal.

Fig.F: Grasp the detector as shown in the figure and move it
towards the wall, making sideways movements along
the wall. The presence of live electrical cables will be
signalled by the light switched on (flashing light) and
an intermittent acoustic signal.

WARNING: After use, always ensure that you have
switched the detector off.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Should the light not switch on or should no acoustic signal be
heard, it is advisable to replace the battery and then proceed
using the method described in the paragraph, “using the
detector”.
DEMOLITION
Electric and electronic refuse may contain potentially hazar-
dous substances for the environment and human health. It
should therefore not be disposed of with domestic waste, but by
means of differentiated collection at specific centres or returned
to the vendor in the event of purchasing a new identical appliance.
The illegal disposal of such equipment may result in prosecution
to the full extent of the law.
Battery disposal
: The batteries included in the equipment
can be disposed of along with it.
Do not throw the used batteries on the fire and do not dispose of
them in the environment, but take them to special disposal centres.
Do not dispose of them with domestic waste.
GUARANTEE
The product is legally protected against all non-conformities
with respect to its stated characteristics, as long as it is used
solely for the purposes described in this user manual, that
it has not been tampered with, that it has not been repaired
by unauthorised personnel and, where necessary, only
original spare parts have been used. Consumables and/or
components subject to particular wear, such as batteries,
bulbs, cutting and finishing elements, etc. are excluded from
the guarantee.
Take the product to your retailer or an authorised service
centre, exhibiting proof of purchase.
