11.2
SWiFT Bluetooth Module - Qualifications and Approvals
SWiFT Profilers (from September 2019) have u-blox type NINA B112 stand-alone Bluetooth®
module fitted as standard.
It complies with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of Radio Equipment
Directive (RED) 2014/53/EU and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive
2011/65/E.
11.2.1 European Union Regulatory Compliance
Information about European Union regulatory compliance for the NINA-B1 series modules is
available in the NINA-B1 Declaration of Conformity.
11.2.2 Safety Compliance
In order to fulfil the safety standard EN 60950-1, the NINA-B1 series modules must be supplied
with a Class-2 Limited Power Source.
11.2.3 FCC and IC Compliance
11.2.3.1 IC compliance
This device complies with Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject
to the following two conditions:
1. This device may not cause interference, and
2. This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired
operation of the device.
Under Industry Canada regulations, this radio transmitter may only operate using an antenna of a
type and maximum (or lesser) gain approved for the transmitter by Industry Canada. To reduce
potential radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain should be chosen in such
a way that the equivalent isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not more than that is necessary
for successful communication.
This equipment complies with IC RSS-102 radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled
environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20 cm
between the radiator and your body.
