Driving
Adjustment of the disc work depth and the packer wheel pressure is achieved using the same hy-
draulic circuit. The changeover valve (A) determines the system to be adjusted. Depending on the
ground conditions and other factors, select which system should be operated from the tractor cab
while driving.
Position B: Adjustment of the packer wheels
Position C: Adjustment of the discs
Adjust the pre-implement as follows:
1 Set the allowed retraction for the wheels when the machine is raised. This is done by inserting
the pins (D) in one of the two holes. Usually, the upper hole should be used since it provides
greater ground clearance when the machine is raised.
2 Set the changeover valve to position (B) to enable adjustment of the packer wheels.
3 Drive in the forward direction and select the desired pressure on the packer wheels.
4 Set the changeover valve to position (B) to enable adjustment of the disc work depth.
5 Drive in the forward direction and lower the machine to the drilling position. Set the desired
working depth of the discs.
NOTE!
Check that the packer wheels do not affect the parallelism of the drill. This is especially
important for shallow drilling and with varying ground conditions. Also pay attention to the how
the load in the seed hopper affects parallel holding of the machine when the packer wheels are
used.
