2.1.2 Improper use
Improper use
Incorrect use or any application which does not correspond to
the technical data may result in injury or damage to property.
Improper use includes:
n
using the product contrary to its intended use,
n
operation under inadmissible environmental and operating
conditions,
n
operation despite obvious errors or defective safety devices,
n
unauthorized extensions or conversions, in particular when
these impair safety,
n
usage despite incomplete assembly,
n
operation with sharp-edged objects,
n
pulling plug-in connections on the cable out of the socket,
n
aspirating, conveying, or compressing solids or fluids.
2.1.3 Foreseeable misuse
Misuse
In addition to improper use, there are types of use which are
prohibited when handling the device.
Prohibited types of use include, in particular:
n
use on humans or animals,
n
installation and operation in potentially explosive atmos-
pheres,
n
use in mines or underground,
n
using the product to generate pressure,
n
fully exposing vacuum equipment to the vacuum,
n
immersing vacuum equipment in liquids, or exposing it to
water spray or steam jets,
n
pumping oxidizing and pyrophoric substances, liquids or
solids,
n
pumping hot, unstable, or explosive media,
n
pumping substances which may react explosively under im-
pact and/or elevated temperature without an air supply.
NOTICE!
No foreign bodies, hot gases or flames from the appli-
cation must be allowed to enter the equipment.
