5.3 Switching off (decommissioning)

Switching off the pumping unit

Switching off, e.g.

taking the pumping

unit out of operation

1. Stop the process and allow the pumping unit to continue run-

ning for approx. 30 minutes with open gas ballast or open inlet
(IN).

Condensate  and  residual  media  are  rinsed  out  of  the  vac-
uum pump.

NOTICE!

 Avoid deposits and rinse the condensate out of the pump.

2. Switch off the rocker switch 

(a)

 – switch position 0.

Pumping unit switched off.

3. Disconnect the power plug.

4. Disconnect the pumping unit from the equipment.

5. Empty the glass flasks.

6. Check the pumping unit for any damage and soiling.
