Intended Use
NuvaWave Handheld Disinfection Device produces germicidal levels of UVC light for surface
disinfection.
When used in the healthcare environment, NuvaWave augments the disinfection of surfaces after
manual cleaning. NuvaWave can be used in the elimination of pathogens on high touch surfaces which
aides in the prevention of Hospital Acquired
Infections (HAI’s
).
User Requirements and Training
The Instructions for Use manual must be read and understood prior to using NuvaWave to ensure the
safety of the user and effectiveness of the device. Understanding the instructions for use, pre-
cautions, and warnings contained within the manual is the first step of operating NuvaWave.
This manual has been created for self-training of operators by providing all the information needed to
become familiar with NuvaWave and the proper steps for use.
Training of new operators should be conducted by someone who has read the manual, has operated the
device following the instructions effectively and is familiar with all aspects of its use and handling.
Operators should be at least 18 years old to use NuvaWave.
