Click   the   Save   Settings   buttons   to   save   all   the   DAX-­‐16   settings.   These   are   saved   to   an   external   
flash   memory   chip   AND   to   the   SD   card.

Click   the   Configuration   Page   link   to   go   back   to   the   configuration   page   (shown   in   figure   4).

Click   the   Config   Flash   link   to   view   the   data   saved   to   the   configuration   page   (a   portion   is   shown   in   
figure   8).

Click   the   browser   back   button   to   get   back   to   the   configuration   page.

Click   the   SD   card   link   to   view   the   configuration   saved   to   the   SD   card.   If   this   page   says   “Could   not   
initialize   SD   card”   or   some   other   error   message,   ensure   an   SD   card   is   in   place   and   that   its   write   
protect   is   not   enabled   (SD   cards   are   write   protected   or   locked   when   the   plastic   slider   on   the   left   
side   of   the   card   is   slid   towards   the   middle   of   the   card).   Figure   9   shows   a   portion   of   a   typical   SD   
card   page.

If   bypass   audio   is   to   be   used,   configure   the   passive   crossover.   

a.

 

Ensure   the   DAX-­‐16   bypass   power   supply   is   powering   the   DAX-­‐16   (front   panel   Bypass   
Power   LED   lit).   

b.

 

Turn   off   the   DAX-­‐16   main   power.   The   Bypass   Power   LED   should   flash.   

c.

 

Set   the   bypass   crossover   switches   as   per   the   table   on   page   7.   

d.

 

Put   the   sound   processor   in   bypass   (generally,   turn   it   off).   

e.

 

Apply   pink   noise   to   the   processor   (typically   an   external   pink   noise   source   on   NS).
