Intensity Menu
This menu is used to control how much UV output power is supplied.
By default, the device uses
Intensity Mode
. In this mode, the user can type in
percentage current supplied to the LED, from 0% to 100% output intensity. Values
outside of this range are invalid, and the user will be shown an error message.
The user can activate a
Constant Power Mode
by pressing the mode button. In
this mode, the output is controlled by a PID feedback loop. The UV output is
continuously measured and the current to the UV LED is raised or lowered to
maintain a constant power output. The user can choose the desired constant
output by referencing menu guidelines.
By default, this intensity setpoint is chosen as a percentage of the maximum
possible measurement. For instance, if the user chooses 80% as their intensity
setpoint, the spot cure unit will attempt to maintain 80% of its maximum UV output.
Alternatively, the user can enter custom calibration settings from the
Manual
Calibration
menu. They can enter their own maximum setpoint measurement, and
they can choose their own unit of measurement – either watts or watts per cm
2
.
