-    The jump starter is placed on a stable surface, either on the ground or on the vehicle.

-   First connect the red positive (+) clamp to the vehicle’s positive (+) terminal, and then connect the black negative (-) clamp 

to the vehicle chassis or engine block away from the battery.

-   Check that the jump starter and its cables, or any other object or person, are not in contact or near a mobile mechanism 

inside the engine. (Belt for example).

-    Start the vehicle.

  

CAUTION, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT ACTIVATE THE STARTER FOR LON-

GER THAN 10 SECONDS.

-   If several jump starts are necessary to start the vehicle, wait at least 3 minutes between two jump starts.

-   Check that the charge level is sufficient between two jump starts.

-   After the vehicle starts, 

disconnect the black negative (-) clamp first

 and store the cable and the clamp. 

 

Then, disconnect the red (+) positive clamp and store the cable and the clamp.

7/ FUSE REPLACEMENT

The jump starter is equipped with a replaceable fuse, to protect the battery from overload.

 

Fuse Specification: Littelfuse BF2 series type, rated 32 V, 300 A.

  

WARNING! KEEP AWAY FROM SPARKS AND FLAME – BATTERY COULD 

EMIT EXPLOSIVE GASES.

-   Allow the fuse to cool down completely (approximately 5 minutes).

-   Make sure the the unit is unplugged from any power source.

-   Remove the negative (BLACK) clamp and cable from the cord/clamp holder on the side of the unit and locate the fuse cover.

-   Follow the arrow to open the right side of the fuse cover, and then rotate the cover from right to left to remove it.

-   Using a 13mm socket/wrench, remove both nuts and washers.

-   Remove the open fuse and replace it with a new one of the same type and rating.

-   Replace the nuts and washers and torque to 5,6 Nm (50 in-lbs).

-   Replace the fuse cover.

-   The unit is now ready to use.

Your USAG JUMP STARTER is guaranteed 1 year from its invoice date against all manufacturing flaws.

List of exclusions of guarantee for USAG JUMP STARTERS.

•   Jump starter open or which has been disassembled

•   Short-circuit.

•   Trace of electric arc on clamps.

•   Reversed  polarity.

•   Continuous use for more than 10 seconds.

•   Jump starter stored discharged.

•   Cables and clamps are excluded from the guarantee.

•   Jump starter charged with a charger other than the one supplied with it.

•   Trace of shock or impact.

•   Fuses

•   Jump starter batteries are wear parts excluded from the guarantee. To increase the lifetime of the batteries, they must be 

kept charged at all times.
