System Startup
1.
Attached a temporary tube to the carbon filter “OUT” port and convey it to a drain.
2.
Slowly open the inlet water valve and allow the carbon tank to fill and rinse until the
water runs clear.
NOTE:
A white plastic or Styrofoam cup can be used to check the water clarity.
3.
Once the water runs clear attach the carbon filter “OUT” fitting back to the RO system
feed tubing.
4.
Plug the RO system into a an electrical outlet and allow the RO to turn on.
5.
Open a spigot downstream of the system and all it to run until water starts to come out
of the open spigot.
NOTE:
This may take some time. Be patient. There cannot be any air in the system
or lines or the tank will not fill properly.
6.
Once there is a steady stream of the water flowing from the open spigot, close it.
7.
Allow the system to fill. This may take several hours initially.
8.
Flush the system tank once to make sure the tank and quantum filter is flushed.
9.
When the tank refills, it is ready for use.
