• Become familiar with the operation of the 
reciprocating saw.
 Read this Owner’s Manual 
carefully. Learn the applications, limitations, 
and specific, potential hazards related to this 
reciprocating saw. Following this rule will re-
duce the risk of electric shock, fire, and serious 
injury
• Always wear safety glasses with side shields. 
Everyday eyeglasses may have impact resistant 
lenses, but they are NOT safety glasses. Follow-
ing this rule will reduce the risk of eye injury.
• Protect your lungs. Wear a facemask or dust 
mask if the operation is dusty. Following this 
rule will reduce the risk of serious personal in-
jury.
• Protect your hearing. Wear hearing protec-
tion during periods of extended operation. 
Following this rule will reduce the risk of seri-
ous personal injury.

FEATURES

BECOME FAMILIAR WITH THE RECIPROCATING 
SAW
Before attempting to use this reciprocating 
saw, become familiar with all of its operating 
features and safety requirements.
This reciprocating saw features the ideal speed/
stroke combination for efficient cutting. For 
optimum performance and safety, read the fol-
lowing operating instructions before using.

 WARNING: Do not allow familiarity with the 

reciprocating saw to cause a lack of alertness. 
A fraction of second of carelessness is enough 
to cause sever injury.

2. BASE (SHOE) ASSEMBLY
3. SCROLLING/ORBITAL/STRAIGHT FUNCTION
4. VARIABLE-SPEED TRIGGER
5. TOOL-FREE BLADE CHANGE SYSTEM
6. SHOE-RELEASE BUTTON
7. LIVE TOOL INDICATOR LIGHT

 WARNING: Remove the reciprocating saw 

from the package, and examine it carefully. Do 
not discard the carton or any packaging mate-
rial until all parts have been examined.

 WARNING: If any part of the reciprocating 

saw is missing or damaged, do not use the saw 
until the part has been repaired or replaced. 
Failure to head this warning could result in se-
rious injury.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

TRIGGER SWITCH 
1. Depress the trigger 
switch to turn the saw 
ON.
2. Release the trigger 
switch to turn the saw 
OFF.
VARIABLE SPEED
The trigger switch delivers higher speed with 
increased trigger pressure, and lower speed 
with decreased trigger pressure.

LIVE TOOL INDICATOR
Your reciprocating saw also has a “live tool in-
dicator” green light, located where the power 
cord enters the handle. 
This green light is always on when the saw is 
plugged into a power source.

INSTALLING A SAW BLADE
1. Disconnect the saw from the power supply.
2. Open the blade-clamp lever. Insert the 
saw blade into the blade clamp as far 
as possible, and close the blade-clamp 
lever to lock the blade in position.
REMOVING THE SAW BLADE
1. Disconnect the saw from the power supply.
2. Open the blade-clamp lever. 
3. Remove the saw blade from the blade 
clamp.
