The GIGAS terminal facilitates all operations that may request client interaction, by
utilising a single connection cable with a junction box that provide all necessary
connections (adapter power supply socket, telephone line, etc..) and that can also be
applied to the wall or attached underneath the counter top.
The GIGAS terminal accepts magnetic cards and EMV chip cards.
The transmission of data occurs through the PSTN modem. The speed at which the
modem can send data varies from 300 to 56 kbps depends on the terminal model.
Two serial interfaces are available for connection to the external devices and for
connection to the optional PIN-PAD.
An advanced remote management system (TMS), allows the loading or updating of
the software, through the serial interface, available in the terminal itself. This can be
accomplished automatically or manually.
