DDNS Set
DDNS (Dynamic DNS) is a service that register a domain name and the floating IP address with the DDNS server so that
the domain name can be routed to the IP address even if the IP address is changed in a dynamic IP system.
User can visit a remote DVR by using DDNS on above three types (Static, DHCP and PPPoE)
Select the DDNS submenu in the DVR network menu. A page like the following will appear:

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Before getting Urmet DDNS ID make sure that user password is enabled, otherwise it cannot
continue with Urmet DDNS ID getting procedure.
Check that the DDNS function is enabled and that the URMETDDNS server is selected. Click on the
Get
button and
wait
for ten seconds or so for the DVR ID to be generated. This is needed for remote access via the URMET web portal
(see
below).
Take note of the ID of your DVR provided by the URMETDDNS server.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
A DDNS server other than URMETDDNS can be used. Select from the available options in the
list. See the instructions on the user manual of the device and those of the DDNS quick
guide (“DDNS Configuration Guide it_en”) which can be downloaded from the Urmet website
for more information.
At this point, save changes by clicking on [Apply], quit the OSD menu of the DVR and restart the device at the prompt.
Wait for the device to reboot.
