The ATR-EX (Adaptive Tone Reproduction)
compresses the dynamic range of the pictures. It
is used to compensate for picture brightness
differences. Contrast can be adjusted and the
whitening effect of lighted faces can be adjusted.

In poor lighting conditions, this function is used to
reduce noise and improve camera picture quality.
Accepted values range from 0 to 6.
