20.  Text messaging and emailing for the purposes of notification can only be 

used for supplementary service.  programmed to display the message “For 
trouble see panel” or similar. Furthermore, the Loss of Cellular Service must be 
programmed, via the website, to annunciate locally within 2 minutes.

21. The LEDs inside of the unit are for installer use only.
22.  The 4550-CF contains no user-serviceable parts. Batteries must be tested 

semi-annually and replaced within 5 years of manufacture or more frequently 
as needed.

This product incorporates field-programmable software which can be changed 
over the GSM Wireless connection. In order for the product to comply with the 
requirements in the Standard for Control Units and Accessories for Fire Alarm 
Systems, UL 864, certain programming features or options must be limited to 
specific values.  

The list of possible modifiable configuration options, as well as the proper 
settings to maintain UL 864 Compliance, is listed in

 Section 9: UL Compliance
