USE OF THE APPLIANCE
1. Before assembling the appliance
remove all packing materials.
2. Wipe the appliance inside and
outside with a damp cloth. Dry
the parts carefully.
3. Grease the plates slightly and pre-
heat the appliance for about 10
minutes. Then wipe the plates
with a damp cloth. For further use
the plates must not be greased
any more (except if stated in the
recipe).
4. Put the plug into the socket
(power supply 220–240
V~,
50 Hz). Both control lamps are
lighting.
5. Preheat the appliance for about
10 minutes. Then wipe the plates
with a damp cloth.
6. As soon as the required tempera-
ture is reached, the green control
lamp is turning off. This lamp will
always turn on, when the required
temperature has decreased and
the appliance is heating again.
7. As soon as the right lamp turns
out, the required temperature is
reached and the prepared toast
can be placed in the appliance.
8. The handle has to be closed firmly
in order to ensure an optimum
sealing of the toast edges.
9. The first toast should not be used
and should be thrown away.
10. Toast the sandwich for approx.
3-5 minutes.
11. Do not use any metal tools or
sharp tools to take the toast out.
We recommend to use wooden or
plastic tools.
Attention:
The surfaces of the appliance
become hot during operation.
Please use only the heat
insulated handle to open and
close the appliance.
CLEANING AND CARE
Unplug the appliance
before cleaning and
let it cool down.
1. Never immerse the appliance into
water or any other liquid.
2. It is best to clean the baking sur-
face while it is still warm with a
soft brush or with a damp cloth.
3. Never use pointed or hard objects.
They would scratch the antistick
coating.
its features and do not constitute
a reason for rejection.
4. Before first use, slightly grease
both waffle plates with heat resist-
ant grease like margarine, for
example, using a pastry brush (as
the plates are non-stick coated,
greasing is only necessary before
the very first use).
5. The appliance may generate a
slight smell when first using it,
which is absolutely normal.
