3. Children aged from 3 years
and less than 8 years shall
only switch on/off the appli-
ance provided that it has
been placed or installed in
its intended normal operat-
ing position and they have
been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way
and understand the hazards
involved. Children aged from
3 years and less than 8 years
shall not plug in, regulate
and clean the appliance or
perform user maintenance.
4. CAUTION – Some parts of
this product can become
very hot and cause burns.
Particular attention has to
be given where children and
vulnerable people are pre-
sent.
5. Children should be super-
vised in order to ensure that
they do not play with the
appliance.
6. Keep the appliance out of
reach of children.
7. Connect the appliance only
to an AC power supply with
the voltage indicated on the
rating plate.
8. Do not operate this appli-
ance with an external timer
or remote control system.
9. Never immerse the appli-
ance or the lead cable in
water or other liquids.
10. The base should never come
into contact with water or
other liquids. In case this
ever happens, the appli-
ance must be completely dry
before operating it again.
11. Do not clean the appliance
in a dishwasher.
12. Never touch the appliance or
lead cable with wet hands.
13. This appliance is intended
for domestic and similar use
such as:
staff kitchen areas in shops,
offices and other working
environments;
agricultural enterprises;
by clients in hotels, motels
and other accommodation
facilities;
bed and breakfast accom-
modations and holiday
homes.
14. For safety reasons, never
place the appliance on hot
surfaces, a metal tray or a
wet surface.
15. Do not place the appliance or
lead cable near open flames
during operation.
16. For safety reasons never
cover the appliance or the
baking plates with alumin-
ium foil or transparent film.
17. Do not heat any pot or pans
on the baking plates.
18. Always use the appliance
on a level, uncluttered and
heat-resistant surface.
19. Make sure that the lead
cable does not hang over the
edge of the worktop or table,
since this can cause acci-
dents, for example if small
children pull on the cable.
