PRELIMINARY
Check that the gascooler has not been damaged during transport and that no parts are missing. Check if gascooler is under pressure at
arrival with a charge of nitrogen U 3 Bar +/- 0.5 Bar.
If gascooler was damaged or if the delivery is incomplete, make remarks on the receipt reservations of transport and confirm them by
letter with acknowledgment of receipt within 48 hours to the carrier with a copy to PROFROID.
If the delivery does not correspond to your order, contact PROFROID.
Gascoolers SV (vertical air flow) must be storage as their running positions, or inside a building, in order that water doesn’t go inside
electrical equipment.

DESCRIPTION – OPERATIONS
Because gascoolers are delivered as a semi-finished product, we are not necessarily aware as a manufacturer of end use. Proper use of
gascooler is always the responsibility of the end user.
The use of gascooler is implicitly linked to the PS and TS design.
APPLICATIONS
Gascoolers in the SOPRANO CO2, ALTO CO2 & TENOR CO2 range are designed for external installation in all refrigeration and air
conditioning applications.
Fluid : R744 (CO2)
PS = -1 / 120 bar TS = -40 / 120°C
Transcritical running when P > 73 bar (T > 31°C) or subcritical for others cases.
BODY
Designed in painted or pre-glazed galvanized sheet metal depending on model. Individual separation of fans in order to optimize the
circulation of air.
Hoisting holes on all models.
COIL
Gascoolers are fitted with one or many coils with profiled aluminum fins and copper tubes (CuFe2P). Refrigeration joints to be welded
(stainless steel 304L or copper CuFe2P).
VENTILATION
Fan motors are EC motors.
They are equipped with an electronic switch for continuous speed variation and independently for each motor fan. Those engines are
"synchronous" with higher efficiency than standard motors.

INSTALLATION
HANDLING
During installation, the legs provided separately, are fitted and fixed using the bolts provided. The gascooler is to be firmly fixed to
flat and level ground.
If lifting with a crane, a hanging bar must be used.
