WOOD HEATER INFORMATION
Materials of Construction:
The firebox and heat exchanger are constructed primarily of
mild steel. The firebox is lined with ceramic firebrick. The feed door has a 16-inch by
11-inch glass panel and is sealed with a ½-inch fiberglass rope gasket. The unit’s
enclosure is painted steel.
Air Introduction System:
Primary Combustion air enters the unit in the upper front and
a damper controlled by a thermostatic fan & limit control position in the plenum. The air
damper is varied automatically from fully open to fully closed to maintain a set point
temperature. Minimum air inlet is defined by five 0.470" diameter hole and two 0.350"
diameter hole in the primary damper. In the lower front of the unit the secondary air inlet
is 1” x 1.5” without control. This air is directed to the firebox through a system of four
0.875" diameter tubes.
Combustion Control Mechanisms:
Combustion air is modulated by a thermostatically
controlled damper plate that can be bypassed by the user. In the high-burn setting,
primary air is restricted while the low-burn setting shuts the primary air entirely.
Combustor:
N/A.
Internal Baffles:

Other Features:
A ducting plenum is located at the top of the unit, above the heat
exchanger. A convection blower is operated thermostatically by the temperature in this
plenum.
