Power Supply Connections for Products Beginning with D1D
The D1D One Series is powered using 115 VAC, +/- 10%. The power supply should be wired up
to TB2 terminals noted L1 (Hot) and L2 (Neutral) per Diagram 3 - Power Supply Configuration.
Primary Switched Output Connections (T ype D1A or D1B)
The One Series' models A & B 100 mA open drain switched output is a "sinking" output which
completes the circuit to the circuit common. The power for the switched output must be provided
externally and referenced to the power supply circuit common (earth ground). The negative (-)
side of the load will be connected to the One Series output connection. The positive side of the
load is connected to the load power source V+. See Diagram 8.
NOTE: If the switched output load is inductive (e.g., a relay), a fly back diode, such as a 1N914
should be used to prevent electrical spikes into the switched output circuit. See Diagram 9.
Logic Solver Connection For 100mA Switched Output
The One Series' 100 mA switched output may also be connected to a digital input channel on a
logic solver. Some logic solver inputs require a pull-up resistor where an appropriately sized pull-
up resistor must be connected between the digital input and a DC power source. The value of the
pull-up resistor must be calculated based on the excitation voltage and the voltage threshold for
a logic level low required by the logic solver. See Diagram 10.
Solid State Relay Switched Output (Type D1C)
The One Series SSR switched output is a single pole, single throw (SPST) switching device which
makes and breaks the output circuit. Two terminals are provided for the external load power
source (VAC-HI) and the switched signal connected to the device under control (LOAD). Wire the
output as follows, per Diagram 11.

The power source connects to the terminal marked VAC-HI

The load connects to the terminal marked LOAD

The other load connection is to the power source return
Solid-State Relay Output Connections (Type D1D)
The SPST solid-state relay output is rated at 5A maximum @ 115/230 VAC. Off-state leakage
current is 0.1mA @ 115/230 VAC. Connect the load to TB2 per Diagram 3. Connect one end of
the load to L2 on the terminal block and the other end is connected to LOAD on the terminal block.
For standard D1D models the VAC input that powers the unit also feeds the input side of the SSR
switch. Option M027 is used if an independent VAC input to the SSR is desired (SSR input range
24-280 VAC). For inductive loads (contactors, solenoids or motors), option M026 must be
specified. For 230 VAC models, specify option code M028.
IAW Output Connections
The One Series open drain IAW output is a 100 mA "sinking" output which completes the circuit
to the circuit common. The power for the IAW output must be provided externally and
referenced to the power supply circuit common (earth ground).
