BATTERY CONNECTION
CABLES AND FUSES SIZE
DC cables (battery
–
inverter) must be as short as possible. Do not exceed 1,8 meter.
In order to avoid a voltage drop higher than 5% when the product is used at a high power
(and avoid that the inverter is placed in protection mode), DC cables must be of sufficient
cross section.
The “Low Battery” pr
otection can intervene if the voltage drop is excessive between the battery
and the converter.
DC cables must be of the proper color: red for the positive cable, black for the negative one.
In order to protect your installation, especially in case of a short-circuit, use a DC ultra fast fuse on the positive
cable placed as close as possible to the battery.
