Attention!
Danger of chemical burns when
testing battery fl uids. Wear pro-
tective clothing, protective gloves
and safety goggles when handling
battery acid.
• Avoid contact of the skin, eyes
or clothes with the acid, rinse off
affected skin with lots of water.
then visit a doctor/eye specialist
immediately.
• If the eyes are affected, fl ush the
eyes – for at least 15 minutes
– with the lids open and with
lukewarm, fl owing water from the
inside to the outside.
• Clean the refractometer thoroughly
after every use.
• the refractometer must not be
subjected to extreme temperatures,
strong mechanical loads, direct
sunshine or high humidity.
• the refractometer is not a toy, keep
it out of the reach of children.
• ensure that you are not subject to
any impacts or similar during the
use of the refractometer as this
can lead to dangerous eye injuries.
• Do not touch the lens of the
refractometer with the fi ngers!
